It was on a Spring afternoon in 1982, around 16:00 hours, when Billy, Eva and Kalliope returned to the Center from a shopping trip. I was in the house on the upper floor occupied with woodworking, when Billy called out to me.

When I reached Billy, Eva and Kalliope, they were standing behind the house [see map, just north of No. 9] next to the auto and looking up at the sky in the direction of Sitzberg (north by northeast). Between some clouds in the clear blue sky one could see a beamship. Its shape and outline were clear and plainly recognizable. Kalliope ran into the house to fetch a camera, because they wanted to shoot conclusive photographs -- regarding such occurrences they already had more experience than I. The ship appeared somewhat the size of a small sphere. As Kalliope returned with the camera, the ship distanced itself into the blue sky with enormous speed because an aircraft was approaching from the west. So already the sighting was over -- without a photo, nevertheless a very impressive event.
